What Makes Emma Tick?

I've said before that Emma is my ultimate wish fulfillment character. First, she's got magic, which is something I've wanted since I first knew it existed. Second, she's got a talking cat. He's snarky, but he's also pretty great sometimes. But most importantly, Emma is a hearth witch: for her, cleaning is a snap. Clothes wash themselves, fold themselves, and hang neatly on the hangers. She never needs an iron, because wrinkles are afraid to anger her. And she never, ever has to do dishes. At least, not with her hands. What could be better?

Now, as we're entering the final 36 hours of the campaign, I'm offering two flash goals to help you get to know Emma better. First, if we can get to $4,000 before the campaign ends, I'll give everyone a digital character interview with Emma (and if you ask nicely, Pink might make an appearance). If you're not sure what that is, here is the one I did with Aly from the Shady Grove Psychic Mysteries.

Better yet, if we get to $4,500 by midnight tomorrow, I'll write a short story based on one of Emma's revelations about her past in Mystic Treasure. Both of these rewards will be available digitally to all backers at the $5 level or above. A New Cover!

Good morning! I was so excited the other day to get a glimpse of the cover of Haunted Haven Book 2, Risky Witchness. I know the book isn't coming out until March, but I couldn't wait to share it with you. 

It's so perfect. The ghost wearing cucumbers, Emma's spa robe matching her witch hat, the cat's towel turban. *chef's kiss* I love everything about it.

If you were on the fence about ordering more than one book, now is the perfect time to upgrade your pledge. Wow! I spent an amazing weekend at the water park with my family and returned to find that we shot past the 75 backer stretch goal! Now we're at 77 and still going strong. Thank you so much! More Stretch Goals!

A few months ago, my mom stumbled across my very first short story, written in preschool. It's called "The Dog City," and if we can get to 100 backers before the end of the campaign, I'll post a video of myself reading it. And as a reminder, if we get over $5,000 total, I'll add color to the map of Haunted Haven for all art prints.
